Time for Healing

Welcome to Mind Over Mountains Counselling.

As a Northern BC provider rooted in a remote community upbringing, I understand the realities of living and working in the North. Living and working in Northern BC can bring unique challenges — the isolation, the pressures of work and family, and the realities of life in a remote community. It’s normal to feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or uncertain at times. Burnout, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, trauma, or challenges in relationships can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or unheard.

For many, there are also the subtle or lasting effects of intergenerational experiences, cultural pressures, or past trauma, which can make everyday life feel heavier than it seems. These feelings are valid, and it’s understandable to want support in navigating them.

Healing often begins in a space where someone truly listens, where experiences are acknowledged, and where trust and clarity are present. Even small steps — understanding patterns, finding grounding, or exploring emotions — can make life feel more manageable, and connection with oneself and others more possible.

You are not alone in carrying these experiences, and it’s possible to feel supported, seen, and understood as you move through life’s challenges at your own pace.

About

Keera Bramhill, MACP, RCC (she/her) Founder

The name Mind Over Mountains Counselling reflects how I understand therapy and change. Life can feel like difficult terrain — burnout that doesn’t ease, anxiety that lingers, relationship strain that feels uphill, or trauma that continues to shape how you move through the world. Healing is not about forcing your way to the top. It’s about slowing the climb, understanding the landscape, and building steadiness along the way. I work with people who appear capable and responsible on the outside but feel exhausted or overwhelmed underneath. Many of my clients are navigating burnout, chronic stress, anxiety, low mood, trauma, or the quiet weight of carrying too much for too long. Others are facing relationship conflict, separation, co-parenting challenges, or patterns that keep repeating despite their best efforts.

My understanding of resilience and balance is also shaped by my upbringing. I grew up in a remote northern BC community in a family of outfitters, spending months each year living in the bush, riding horses, and learning the rhythms of land and animals. From an early age, I experienced the deep connection between people and nature — and the understanding that strength is not loud or rushed. It is steady, patient, and rooted in relationship. Healing often happens in quiet spaces, with time and presence. Those early experiences continue to influence how I practice.

In our work together, we move at a pace that allows for both insight and practical change. We explore patterns that developed for a reason — often as ways of coping — and build tools that support emotional regulation, boundaries, communication, and self-trust. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and direct, with space for honesty and reflection. My goal is not just understanding, but meaningful shifts in how you feel and live.

Practicing in British Columbia, I also provide culturally responsive care for Indigenous clients. I approach this work with respect, cultural humility, and awareness of how intergenerational trauma, history, and systemic stressors continue to impact individuals and families. Land, identity, and community matter in healing, and these realities are honoured in our work together.

I offer virtual counselling across British Columbia.

Online sessions provide flexibility and privacy while maintaining the depth and connection essential to therapy. Mountains teach us that strength is steady. Weather changes. Paths shift. Progress is rarely linear. You don’t have to navigate the terrain alone. With the right support, even steep stretches become more manageable. If you’re ready for clarity, steadiness, and sustainable change, I welcome you to reach out.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (#23058), my work is grounded in evidence-informed, trauma-aware approaches that integrate practical skill-building with deeper pattern exploration. I am committed to ongoing learning and reflective practice to ensure the care I provide is ethical, culturally responsive, and clinically sound.

I am appreciative to live and work on Treaty 8 territory, which is home to the Slavey, Cree, Dana-Zaa, Saulteau, and Sikanni First Nations. I practice cultural humility and maintain a decolonial perspective, creating an inclusive and safe space for individuals to navigate their unique healing journeys.

Insurance & Extended Health Benefits

Many extended health benefit plans provide coverage for counselling services with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). Because every plan is different, clients are encouraged to check with their insurance provider to confirm their specific coverage details.

After each session, you will receive a receipt that includes the information typically required for reimbursement. Clients can submit this receipt directly to their insurance provider according to their plan’s process.

If you are unsure whether your plan covers counselling services, contacting your insurance provider directly can help clarify your coverage and reimbursement options.
